Valentine's Day is all about showing the love and there are two local events that shift the focus from couples to dads and their little girls.

On Saturday, February 11, 2012, the Conway Parks and Recreation Department will host a Valentine's Ball for dads and their daughters, ages six through twelve.  From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy music, food, dancing, contests, and fun.  The price for city-residents is $20 per couple and $10 for each additional child.  The cost for non-city residents is $30 per couple and $20 per additional child.  The event will be held at the Conway Recreation Center, 1515 Mill Pond Road in Conway.  Tickets are limited and required.  Click here for the registration form, which can be mailed in or dropped off at the Rec Center.  For more information about the Ball, click here or call (843) 488-1950.

On Sunday, February 12, 2012, Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach is also hosting dads (or Grandpa, uncles, older brothers, etc.) and daughters from 6 to 9 p.m..  The price is $29.99 per couple and $12.99 per additional daughter.  The couples will enjoy desserts, music, photos, and more.  To purchase tickets, call (843) 916-0888 ext. 3226.  All ages are invited and reservations are required.  You can check out more information about the event on the aquarium's Facebook page here.
