The Charleston Pour House is celebrating Jerry Garcia's birthday weekend with Friday and Saturday night show featuring New Riders of the Purple Sage and Cosmic Charlie.

The New Riders of the Purple Sage, signed back in 1971 was the starting point for both Jerry Garcia and John Dawson. Both Jerry and John have unfortunately passed away, but the band carries on and is out touring to promote their new CD, Where I Come From.

Cosmic Charlie hails from Athens, Georgia and are a high-energy Grateful Dead cover band.

Tickets to the New Riders of the Purple Sage show are going for $15 online. The link to the Cosmic Charlie tickets isn't working properly, but it looks like they'll go for around $10.
