Update October 9, results: In their first match the Cape Fear Roller Girls downed the Lowcountry Highrollers 185 to 122.

The Ashley Riverdolls took the Intraleague Championship Trophy.

This was the last bout before the November 13th South Carolina State Roller Derby Championship Tournament.

First reporting: Come on out today, October 8th, to watch as the Lowcountry HighRollers's All-Stars take on the Cape Fear Roller Girls from Wilmington, North Carolina, and then local teams Ashley Riverdolls, Holy City Heartbreakers, and Swamp Foxes battle it out.

It's a "Chucktown Throwdown" and the first time these two Wilmington is taking on Charleston.

Doors open at 3 p.m. and Wilmington match up is at 4 and then the throwdown happens at 5:30 at The Citadel's McAlister Fieldhouse (171 Moultrie Street).

Halftime entertainment will be by the Jammers Skate Crew, music by DJ Cassidy of Cassidy and the Kid, a bake sale with homemade treats, and the kids’ favorite – pushing derby girls around the track at halftime, and an afterparty at Suede Supper Club in Mount Pleasant. 

Bout admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
