Update March 9:The women's team has lost. The men's is still playing.

For the first time in history both the men and lady Cougars have advanced to the SoCon finals.

Read more stories on this subject in our basketball topic page.This will be the first appearance ever in the finals for the lady Cougars, while it is the second time in the last three years for the men.

On the women's side No. 4 College of Charleston will be playing No. 3 Western Carolina, and on the men's the No. 3 College of Charleston will be taking on No. 1 Chattanooga.

The women's championship begins at 3 p.m. on SportSouth with the men's championship starting at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
