Charlestonians love their barbeque and their football, and North Charleston’s new Bighorn’s Sports Grill is combining the two for a Big BBQ & Beer Bash all day January 9th.

The event is timed for the Allstate BCS National Championship Game where two top southern teams – LSU & Alabama – will battle it out. Kevin Cowan, Grand BBQ Champion of six different states and winner of 125 BBQ awards, will cook up his famous ribs and pulled pork for patrons on that Monday.

Bighorn’s Sports Grill, which celebrated its official grand opening December 13th, combines affordable meals, patriotism and a love of sports all in a 12,000-square-foot space directly across from Sears at Northwoods Mall under the giant American flag (7832 Rivers Avenue).

In addition to Cowan’s BBQ, which he will be cooking all the week in the Bighorn’s parking lot off Rivers Avenue, the restaurant will be showing the Bowl Game on many of its 50 high definition and big screen TVs. Patrons can also enjoy $2 domestic bottled beer and drafts. Reservations are recommended by calling (843) 302-0963. The restaurant is open January 9th 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
