Tickets are on sale for the 2010 Harbour Club Charity Classic, which is comprised of a reception and silent auction on Friday, Sept. 3 and a Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 4. The classic donates 100 percent of proceeds to MDA’s Augie’s Quest, Water Missions International, and Employee Partner Care Foundation.

The festivities will begin at The Harbour Club from 7 to 10 p.m. The reception will kick off at 7 p.m. with an explanation of “why we’re here,” followed by a silent auction, live music and food and open bar at 7:30 p.m.

The next day, a shot gun will start the golf tournament at 1:30 p.m. at Shadowmoss Plantation. Golfers will play in a “best ball” format, competing for Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive prizes. A beverage cart service will be available, and a cookout is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on the course.

Tickets for the golf tournament are $100 and include admission to the reception and silent auction. Those only interested in Friday night’s dinner and auction can purchase tickets for $50. To make reservations, please contact M.C. Hemmingway at 843-723-9680 or mc.hemingway@ourclub.com or register online.

This fundraiser supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Augie’s Quest’s mission to find cures and treatments for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Harbour Club has actively partnered with MDA for several years to support Augie’s Quest.

MDA is the world leader among voluntary agencies in fighting ALS, offering the most comprehensive range of services. People with ALS receive care at 36 MDA/ALS centers or at any of the more than 200 MDA outpatient clinics across the country. MDA also leads the search for a treatment or cure for ALS through its aggressive, worldwide research program.
