The Charleston Area Mpowerment Project has announced that the eighth annual Big Gay Beach Day will be taking over Folly Beach on June 4th.

From 12 to 5 p.m., Folly Beach will be the place to mix, mingle and party. The afternoon will be filled with all kinds of fun including a DJ, volleyball games, a guys versus girls tug of war battle, a slip 'n' slide, and much more.

This event is free and open to the public. All you have to do is show up with your crew on the 1600 block of East Ashley Avenue. For additional details and a peek at who is planning to attend, be sure to check out the Facebook invite.

Please remember Folly rules: alcohol is permitted (no open containers, no glass—bring a cup!); no pets; park with your tires off the pavement going with the flow of traffic.
