'Survivor' auditions to be held in Columbia

Want to get away? Drive to Columbia. Want to really get away? Drive to Travelers Rest and win a spot on "Survivor."

This year marks the popular program's 18th season. Is it me, or does that seem ridiculously long?

Anyway, this season's adventure: "Survivor: Tocantins — The Brazilian Highlands.” It premiers February 12th at 8 p.m.

The auditions are being held for the 19th season.

Candidates must fill out an application. Wait, that sounds like a government position. How about this: Tropical savages must sign their name in blood (or some other form of human excretion).

There, that's more like it. Visit "Survivor's" website to get started. Auditions will be held January 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1 Center Street in Travelers Rest.

Thanks to The State for tipping us off.
