Update July 4: Jonathan Stout dropped by the show and has a nice (and very pretty) video capture and report from the event; take a gander here.

Oh, and it's worth pointing out that Fowler's stache has some love on Wikipedia.

First reporting:

The Holy City Beard & Moustache Society is inviting anyone and everyone to commemorating the joy of facial hair this Saturday night at the Rob Fowler's Mustache Art Show at the Upper Deck Tavern.

The event will feature appearances by members of the Holy City Beard & Mustache Society, a local chapter of Beard Team USA. A plethora of the finest local artists will also be attending. Many more local artists will also to be joining.

So what's up with the Rob Fowler stuff? Check this explanation out from the Facebook invitation:

Remember back in the good old days when Rob Fowler [a meteorologist for the Lowcountry's Count on 2 News] was still sporting a mustache? Well, we in the Charleston art community still do. Along with the Holy City Beard & Mustache Society, we are hosting an event to celebrate Charleston nostalgia with a special focus on infamous Charleston facial hair.

The party starts at 8 p.m. and the best moustache contest will be taking place at 10 p.m. Your $10 cover will get you a coupon for half-priced drinks it'll also be donated towards the American Cancer Society.

The Upper Deck Tavern is located at 353 King Street.
