The Alliance for Full Acceptance just shot this e-mail out, and I felt compelled to pass along the information to our audience.
Tonight from 7 to 11 p.m. there will be a fundraiser for Annie Sheehan, a Charleston local who was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive malignant melanoma. The event will be held at Joe Pasta, located at 428 King Street.

Annie was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive malignant melanoma; a very aggressive skin cancer that, IF, treated in time, can be manageable.
On the 23rd of November, she will be having a life-saving procedure to remove a mass the size of a tennis ball from her calf, followed by a skin graft from her thigh to replace what is extracted. Without this operation, Annie's doctors have given her a six to twelve month life-expectancy. She has no insurance to help cover the cost of treating this potentially deadly disease. When all is said and done, she will have upwards of $40,000 in hospital bills.
She has exhausted all avenues of financial aid, and has been denied assistance. The goal is to help her with the down payment required to get her started.
Annie is a hairdresser, a friend, a mother; and with our help, and a little luck, a cancer survivor!!
