Tree lighting and other holiday festivities at Marion Square

This Saturday, December 6, marks the start of a whole bunch of holiday festivity at Marion Square.

The regular Saturday farmers market will evolve a bit into a holiday farmers market through December 21. Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 22nd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be Saturday, December 6, at 4:30 p.m. It's not a tree per-se, but a "60-foot Tree of Lights." -- North Charleston is lighting their tree the same day.
Holiday Santa visits and festiveness: "Children’s choirs, church choirs, gospel, classical, folk, storytelling and other entertainment dazzle audiences at Marion Square. Bring your Christmas wish lists to the North Pole Mailbox and visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their Elf assistants in the magically decorated park." Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Through December 23.
