A round-up of what to do (and feast on) for Valentine's Day in Charleston (update: today)

Update February 14: Today's the big day folks, here's a reminder on what you can do.

First reporting: I've always found it odd that the romantic Valentine's Day celebrations generally seems to focus on making your significant other fat, but I suppose the same could be said for most any other American holiday.

That said, with so many tasty options around, who cares? Eat while the gettin's good.

With that in mind the Charleston City Paper's weekend eats roundup focuses on cupcakes, chocolate, and seasonal restaurant specials. In the same vein, but entirely restaurant focused, Charleston Scene has a nicely bulleted roundup.

If you're looking to celebrate in style we'll point you to the Love Under the Sea Valentine's Dinner at the S.C. Aquarium.

And there are plenty of romantic spots in the area to take your date to that won't cost a cent.
