On Saturday, April 7, the Marion Square farmers market returns.

(Yes, with vendor controversy and all.)

At 10 a.m. on opening day, April 7, City of Charleston Mayor Pro-Tem Dean Riegel will unveil the official 2012 Charleston Farmers Market poster image and afterwards bluegrass band "YeeHaw Junction" will play.

You can check out a listing of vendors on the market's website.

There will also be expanded hours again for this year during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival (May 26-27; June 2-3 and June 9; Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sundays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and the Holiday Farmers Market (Dec. 1-16; Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sundays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The market is open every Saturday from April 7 to December 15, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And don't forget that this time around Marion Square is rocking some free Wi-Fi

The Summerville farmers market also starts April 7, the Mt. Pleasant market is back April 10, and the North Charleston market on April 19.
