After four a year absence, Awendaw Mayor Samuel Robinson is reviving the town's glorious tradition that is the beloved Blue Crab Festival.

For the 16th Annual Blue Crab Festival (and just $2 per ticket), attendees will be able to go to town on steamed crabs by the bucket, succulent fried crabs, fried fish, chicken drummettes, Frogmore stew, hot dogs and hamburgers.

In addition to all of the food, there will be local musicians providing tunes throughout the day and locally made crafts for sale. This is an event for the whole family, so kids will also have their fair share of activities and games to keep them occupied as well.

The 16th Annual Blue Crab Festival is taking place on October 1st from 12 to 5 p.m. at Camp Sewee, located at 7407 Doar Road.
