Charleston Craft Beer Week cometh, draws some pre-event flak

Charleston Craft Beer Week is set to kick off April 22nd with the promises of seven days of beer dinners, bar crawls, movie screenings, a brews cruise and a music festival.

If it all sounds too good to be true, you can check out the  CCBW's official website for proof. The Charleston City Paper has also done a nice job of highlighting the featured events throughout the week.

FYI - participating craft breweries include the likes of  Dogfish Head, Terrapin, Sweetwater and Thomas Creek. There's also the not so craft selections like Blue Moon and Guinness.

As for local love? Holy City Brewing is the only Charleston-based craft brewery that has been included in the week's events. It is this fact (and, well, a few additional gripes) that has sparked an impassioned retort on ChsBeer.org from the @ChsBeer man himself, Mister Timmons Pettigrew.
