Fashion Alley: A Vintage Inspired Fashion Show will showcase Charleston vintage fashion on held Saturday, June 23, from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Charleston Rifle Club bowling alley at 2221 Heriot Street in downtown Charleston.
Open bowling will also be available from 9 p.m. to midnight on a first-come, first-serve basis. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Girls Rock Charleston.
“Our goal for this event is to raise money and awareness for Girls Rock Charleston and the Charleston Rifle Club, as well as pay tribute and showcase some of the great fashions from the past,” says event co-organizer, Kristen Armstrong. “We are looking forward to a night of amazing vintage couture to walk the runway and, most of all, the special crowd that this type of event brings together.”
Designers for the show will include: Rhett Boyd Vintage Collection, Rogue Wave Surf Shop mens vintage collection, Groove Girl Vintage, Textured Vintage by Kendal Leonard Designs, Style Girl Jess James Vintage Collection, Jlinsnider Vintage and a finale show by the private collection of Maria Victoria Brinko.
At the event, guests can enjoy food by Charleston’s newest food truck, Auto Bahn, sweets by JLane Confections, local beer by Frothy Beard’s Brewery, and music by DJ Suds of Creative Sound. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a variety of vintage items from local vendors including: Candy Shop Vintage, Style Girl Jess James Vintage Collection, Alice & Daisy Vintage, Jlinsnider and 3Thimbles Vintage.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their best vintage couture for a chance to win prizes and a “Best Dressed” title. This event is open to the public. General admission tickets are $20, which includes standing room only. VIP tables are $200 and will seat up to six people. VIP seating includes an intimate, front-row view of the show, one complimentary bottle of champagne and a cocktail server from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Complimentary tickets are available to editorial staff members of the press.
