Society 1858's winter party: 'Luce e Colore: La Bella Notte Italiana'

Society 1858, a dynamic member auxiliary group of the Gibbes Museum of Art, is hosting 'Luce e Colore: La Bella Notte Italiana' on Friday, February 10th, from 8 to 11 p.m.

Society 1858's winter party at the Gibbes celebrates the classical traditions of the great masters and spotlights Jill Hooper and her solo exhibition, Jill Hooper: Contemporary Realist. Guests will experience la dolce vita while savoring delicious Italian aperitivo provided by Oak Steakhouse and enjoying the jazz music of Julep and the Lewis/Gregory/Wiltrout trio.  Classically-trained professional artists working in the style of Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci will bring the galleries to life and classically trained opera singers will fill the museum with song.

Tickets for Luce e Colore are $40 for members of Society 1858 and $70 for non-members. Tickets may be purchased in advance online.
