This Sunday, March 13th, Mixson will debut Battle of the Brushes, an interactive art show and friendly competition supporting Charleston’s top collegiate artists.

From 2 to 5 p.m., Mixson will host emerging artists from the Art Institute of Charleston, Trident Technical College, and the College of Charleston for a self-paced art excursion through eight unoccupied homes at Mixson. The surrounding courtyard will serve as the setting for complimentary refreshments and music as votes are cast for best-in-show. The winner will go home with $500 and the inaugural Battle of the Brushes title. Featured artwork will be available for purchase to benefit the local artists, and Mixson’s LEED Gold-certified model residences will be open for tours.
