Billed as the ultimate identity comedy, The Footlight Players' "Eat the Runt" is opening up this Thursday, April 8th.

Eat The Runt follows a candidate on a day of rigorous job interviews that turn increasingly outrageous as the jobseeker uses bizarre methods to negotiate the corporate battlefield. The “anything goes” sense of fun is heightened as each night the audience casts the show — any actor can play any part resulting in over 40,000 different casting possibilities. Crozier has written the play genderless; cultural stereotyping one night may become sexual harassment the next. If you want to come back to see the show done an entirely different way, you can for $5 off a full priced ticket!

The show stars a fun bunch of actors including Laura Artesi, E. Karl Bunch, Lisa Cooper, Rives Corbin, Boogie Dabney, Nikki Pearcy, and Scott Robinson. For the thousands of Charleston area professionals coping with workplace anxiety or unemployment, this utterly unconventional satire could not arrive at a better time. Eat the Runt contains mature content and adult language. Make sure to arrive 10 minutes early so you can place your votes to cast the show.
