Update October 7:

The Charleston City Paper has a posted a video from last week's art walk.

The video does a great job of capturing the overall, laid back vibe of the event and sports a nice little interview with local artists Nathan Durfee. Durfee's work can be found adorning the walls of the Robert Lange Studios at 2 Queen Street.

Watch it here.

First reporting:

Stroll the cobbled streets and gas lit alley ways to discover the works of well over 500 artists this Friday evening during this month's French Quarter Art Walk.

All galleries of the French Quarter will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. with artists on hand and refreshments. Translation: get ready to get your art and wine on.

The French Quarter is located within the original walled city of Charleston between S. Market and Tradd, and Meeting Street and the waterfront past East Bay Street.

Here's a handy map showing all the participating galleries.
