Lowcountry Dog Magazine will be holding their annual Cover Model Contest at Pet Fest on both Saturday, April 10th and Sunday, April 11th.

The lucky dogs will meet publisher Leah England and their headshots will be taken by photographers from King Street Studios.

This year, publisher Leah England will select the top 10 finalists and LCD readers will choose the winner by voting for their favorite on the magazine's website. The top dog will grace the June/July 2010 cover and Lowcountry Dog will also print the photos of each dog entered in the contest. So everyone is a winner!

There is no additional fee to participate in the model contest. Photographs will be available for purchase.

Pet Fest is April 10th and 11th at the Palmetto Islands County Park in Mt. Pleasant. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Other event activities include dock dogs, frisbee demonstrations, costume and dog food eating contests, area vendors and rescues, microchip clinic, food, and much more. Entry into the event is $5 per person.
