The first Saturday is May (the 7th) is Free Comic Book Day, and the fine folks at Captain's Comics and Toys are participating as always.

Much like its cousin, Record Store Day, Free Comic Book Day is a chance for independent comic retailers across the country to rejoice in their greatness, offer deals, and give away a special selection of comics produced by publishers with the occasion in mind.

In addition to a handful of free issues, Captain's will put nearly the entire store on sale for 25% to 50% off.  The ever popular $6 trade paperback box will be out for your perusement, and 98 Rock will be on hand and broadcasting live throughout the day.
