TheDigitel Charleston puts on an Open Community event

Draw more attention or show off your work with TheDigitel Charleston's Open Community event on Tuesday, May 18th, at 6:30 p.m.

Whether you are a photographer, own a restaurant, host events, are opening a new business, or just have a local issue you're concerned about, you can get attention with the Open Community -- directly and without hassle.

But there are a few things you should know to make the most of this curated digg.com-like system.

At TheDigitel it is our belief that the main role of a community publication is to keep community members informed about the events and news that affect community lives, so we've structured TheDigitel to be an open, collaborative platform that not only allows the community to do their own informing, but allows our team and community members to seamlessly collaborate.

It's simple to get started in, but you can accelerate your ability to get the most out of the free program (and help the community more) by coming to our orientation session that will be part discussion and part technical. We'll help you understand and help you craft even more compelling content.

Come on out. It's good for your interests and it's good for the community.

The event is being hosted by the Charleston Digital Corridor's Flagship on Tuesday, May 18th, at 6:30 p.m. 475 East Bay Street, downtown Charleston.

Please let us know if you can make through saying you'll attend on Facebook or e-mailing katie.kozar@thedigitel.com
