Charleston's city-supported Cottages at Longborough still on the market

Crazy.

The City of Charleston sponsored Cottages at Longborough development was such a good buy that public turnout for them was overwhelming.

And yet two years later nine of the 42 units are still for sale.

Well the city is trying to spark some interest in the units in the Wagener Terrace neighborhood that start at just $110,000 and get a $10,000 kick-in from the city (hint: the mortgage there is likely well less than your rent.)

The Post and Courier has a story on what's up and how to go to the open house on Saturday, November 13; take a read here.
