This Friday, December 18th marks the grand opening of Meeting Street's SCRA MUSC Innovation Center, which will provide laboratory space for biotech startups.

A press release from SCRA had this to say:

This signals the beginning of a new knowledge-based era in Charleston, as well as the economic development of the surrounding community. Through the innovation center, discoveries made in the lab will find the necessary incubation space to fully and quickly develop into the diagnostic tools and therapeutic treatments needed to help patients now and in the future.
