Buy Local Month kicks off this week, here's what's happening

Buy Local Month is only a week away and there are a handful of events planned by Lowcountry Local First that will be taking place around Charleston to celebrate the season.

Mark your calendar for all of the Buy Local fun, which is free and open to the public, scheduled for next week.

Tuesday, November 15th:

  • Noon - Grand Opening of the Mom and Pop-Up Shop (359 King St.): Everything from local clothing and jewelry, unique book selections, cookies and olive oil to mattresses! Join us at 359 King Street to pick up your new Buy Local Card and check out all the member vendors!
  • 6 to 8 p.m. - Mom and Pop-Up Happy Hour: Come on through the Pop-Up Shop for Happy Hour to have a drink and check things out. Local Food and Beverages sponsored by American Automated Payroll.

Thursday, November 17th:

  • 5 - 7 p.m. - Welcome Home Happy Hour at 10 Storehouse Row: Come join LLF for local comfort foods by Annabelle's like Chili and Oysters and local beer and beverages. Enjoy a friendly, cozy reminder to Buy Local and support our local businesses!

Saturday, November 19th:

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Local Artisans' Market in the South Windermere Shopping Center: In partnership with The Charleston Crafts Cooperative. Support local artists and pick up one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones or yourself.
