Aster Hall is hosting a fundraiser for the Berkeley County SPCA (also known as Doc Williams SPCA) on Friday, January 22nd, from 6 to 9 p.m.

One of the smallest shelters in the largest county in the state of South Carolina, Berkeley County SPCA houses and cares for approximately 13,000 animals abandoned annually. Staff veterinarians provide critical medical care, the staff works tirelessly to find homes for each abandoned pet and Doc Williams spay/neuter clinic offers low cost surgery for those who can’t afford the pricey procedures.

January’s show will feature new work by contemporary Southern artist Alex Leopold, donated works by local artists and Doc Williams T-shirts designed with the “GOT NADS” slogan. Local funk band The Healing will perform live and an open bar and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Lana, Avondale Wine and Cheese, and Sweetwater Brewing Company.

Join everyone for an afterparty at Fish Restaurant, just down the street, with $1 dim sum and cocktail specials.

Tickets are $10 at the door (481 A King Street), or may be purchased by calling Aster Hall at (843) 789-3580.
