The Remedy Market on Spring: locavores welcome (update: oyster roast, part 2)

Billy Pope, owner of The Remedy Market on Spring is throwing an oyster roast!

Updates at the bottom.

There's a great new market opening on Spring Street, and all locavores are welcome.

The Remedy Market on Spring, a spot that will exclusively carry locally made products, produce, and more is nearly complete. The man behind the market, Billy Pope, couldn't be more exited to provide a place for those who don't have store fronts to sell their goods.

Think of it like this: you know how much you love getting those special locally made goodies at the Saturday Farmers Market in Marion Square? Well, The Remedy Market on Spring will be carrying a lot of the same stuff, but every day of the week.

The place is not only a market, but a grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner spot where customers can get quick healthy options. Coffee and specialty teas will be served all day long, the Bagel Shop will be providing breakfast sandwiches, and you can expect plenty more tasty treats to come.

To celebrate the grand opening, everyone is invited out this Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. for a soft opening party. There will be an oyster roast, live music and a food, wine and beer tasting in the sprawling back lot behind the 162 Spring Street storefront.

Update November 20: They're back at it, throwing a second oyster roast and open house this Saturday, November 20, too.
