On Saturday, December 5, the Avondale shopping district's new mural will be unveiled at 12:30 p.m., culminating the Avondale Winterfest that runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Please join Mayor Riley and Avondale merchants on Saturday December 5 at 12:30 pm for the unveiling of the winning mural design for Avondale Point on Savannah Highway at Magnolia Road. The ceremony will take place at the Ameris Bank parking lot located at 834 Savannah Highway across from the Children’s Cancer Society Thrift Store.
Prior to the unveiling, a Pancake Breakfast will be hosted at Triangle Char and Bar from 9-12pm. The cost is $7 for adults/$5 for children. Proceeds will benefit the Avondale Art Initiative.
Avondale Winterfest will also take place from 9-12:30 pm. Festivities include:
- Jump castle
- Portable Skate Park courtesy of Air Skate Shop
- Live music with the V-tones from 10-12 p.m.
- Karate demonstration by AKS
- Pictures with Santa Claus
- Photo Booth from Olive Productions
- Face painting
- Carolers from Lowcountry Local First
- Visit from Pet Helpers
- Bicycle helmet give away by BCDCOG
