Update April 23: The Post and Courier dropped by for opening day and has a few nice shots; see them here.

First reporting: The North Charleston Farmers Market will open tomorrow, April 22nd from noon to 7 p.m. at the Felix C. Davis Community Center in Park Circle.

In addition to local craft and food vendors, a number of local farmers and growers will be selling local produce, free-range poultry, beef, and locally caught seafood. But wait, there's more! Each week the City’s Cultural Arts Department features a performance and/or artist to showcase. Tomorrow at 3:45 p.m., the Hanahan Elementary School hip-hop group will perform, followed by an artist demonstration.

The farmers market will be open every Thursday until mid-October.

Felix C. Davis Community Center is located at 4800 Park Circle in North Charleston.
