Sybil Alfano named 2012 Grand Strand Artist of the Year

First report: Grand Strand Arts announces the 2012 Grand Strand Artist of the Year event.

Celebrate the arts and these 12 local Grand Strand Artists of the Month at this two-part event, which takes place on Saturday, January 19, 2013, starting with the Grand Strand Arts Crawl at Barefoot Landing from 4 until 7 p.m. Participating restaurants at Barefoot Landing include: Castano’s Italian Steakhouse, Flying Fish Public Market, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille, TBONZ Gill & Grill, and The Gallery Room at House of Blues Myrtle Beach.

Enjoy live music by the following local performing artists: Feel No OtherLiz Kelley, Candice Marotta, Sleeping PolicemanBrian RoesslerJesse Uzzel, a special performance by The Long Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra Ensemble and more.

At 7:30 p.m., immediately following the Grand Strand Arts Crawl, plan to attend the 2012 Grand Strand Artist of the Year Awards Dinner at the House of Blues Myrtle Beach restaurant where the winner of the 2012 Grand Strand Artist of the Year will be announced. In addition to celebrating the 2012 Grand Strand Artists of the Month, the evening will include special entertainment and live music by local performing artists.
