New local talk show designed to empower Lowcountry women

Charleston and surrounding areas are gearing up for the arrival of the first and only women’s empowerment talk show called 'The Edge,' staring Dr. Jayne Michelle Fountain and Jody Only.

The show concentrates on impacting the lives of women locally to make a difference for women, globally.

This entirely, fresh, new concept of entertainment will feature a live show audience, as well as guests whose lives and experience can make a difference in other women’s lives. The show will feature all the light basics of conversation, fun, fashion, makeovers and so forth. The heart of the program is a focus on opportunities, education, and impacting guests.

What’s makes this show different? The purpose of the program is to develop a sisterhood of support within the Lowcountry area for all women. The '911 Minute' will feature the profile a local woman searching for a job or career change. 'Behind the Scenes' features women owned businesses, conferences, events. 'Sensational, Sexy at 60' features a focus on empowerment of older women. 'The Leadership Tip Of The Day'offers leadership tips, techniques and information for the woman aspiring to higher leadership positions. All in all, this show is all about inspiration.

 

The hosts of The Edge bring a uniqueness to the program. Jody Only has had an esteemed career in local television at Channel 4 and more recently starring and producing her own show, Low Country Livelyhood. Her “Behind the Scenes” segments have become her trademark and her passion is well known. Dr. Jayne, as she is known, is a professional speaker, trainer and coach who travels the country inspiring, motivating and empowering women within businesses and corporations. She is a media commentator specializing in women’s issues, Ddversity and leadership. She has been featured on The Travel Channel, The Disney Channel, in Family Fun Magazine and online magazines.

The Edge launches February 17th and will air Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. on WLCN channel 18, Comcast Basic 119, Comcast Digital 230, Knology 98 and Time Warner 155.
