Just a reminder....

Four are cultural organizations will be recognized by the Myrtle Beach City Council at Myrtle Beach Arts Fete 2012. 

The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, Carolina Master Chorale, Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild’s Art in the Park, and The Long Bay Symphony will all by honored via proclamation at the event on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the historic Myrtle Beach Train Station.  This event includes champagne punch for a toast as well as desserts, and there is no charge for admission.

Cultural arts are alive and well along the Grand Strand as each of these organizations celebrate a significant milestone this year. The Art Museum celebrates 15 years of dedication to being one of the finest visual arts museums in the Carolinas by striving to engage the community and visitors through unique exhibitions and interactive, educational and creative programs for people of all ages. 

The Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild maintains its long history of bringing the arts to the Grand Strand by celebrating 40 years of Art in the Park.  During the 2012-2013 season, the Carolina Master Chorale celebrates 30 years as the premiere symphonic chorus in the region covering northeast South Carolina and southeast North Carolina. 

The Long Bay Symphony celebrates 25 years of musical excellence during the 2012-2013 season. As the largest performing arts organization in the Grand Strand area as well as the largest professional orchestra in the region, The Long Bay Symphony continues to provide the highest quality musical performances and programs that educate and entertain while enhancing the cultural environment of the region.
