Summerville's Flowertown Theatre has a new take on Shakespeare's classic play: steampunk.
For those of you that don't know, steampunk is a style that combines the Victorian steam power culture with high-tech elements. Director Sean Lakey decided that Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream needed a fresh twist--something that audiences hadn't seen before. And he accomplished this by adding a largely steampunk element to the scenery, costumes, and characters.
Come see A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Flowertown Players' Historic James F. Dean Theatre, 133 South Main Street, on the following dates:
- Friday, March 18th, 8 p.m.
