If you love to decorate your vessel from stem to stern for the holiday season, you should think about registering your boat in the The City of Charleston's 2010 Holiday Magic Parade of Boats.

Show off your decorations to thousands of spectators who come out to view the parade along the route from Mt. Pleasant to Charleston each year. This year's parade through the Charleston harbor is on Saturday, December 4th from 4 to 8 p.m., with viewing starting from the Charleston peninsula around 6:30 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place boats in both the power and sail categories, with the best-in-show award going to the highest scoring boat overall. The top awards will be announced at the Captain’s Party on December 5th.

Entry fees are $25 for recreational vessels and $50 for commercial vessels. Registration forms are due to the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs by Thursday, December 2nd at 4 p.m.
