Dock Side fashion event to Benefit Charleston Waterkeeper (post-event update, photos)

A Sarah Maxwell piece.

Update October 11: The event was a great time, with some stylish fashion, and all around great tribute to the end of summer while raising money for a good cause.

The Charleston City Paper is sporting a more traditional write-up on their site along with a smattering of photos, and you can catch a bit more imagery and commentary on our @TheDigitelExtra Twitter account.

First reporting: Local fashion designers, Sarah Maxwell, One Love, Clewis Reid, Eden Boheme, and Cavortress are hosting a fashion show to benefit the Charleston Water Keeper organization that is dedicated to 'measurably improving the quality of Charleston’s waterways through hands-on community involvement, scientific monitoring and legal actions'.

The event will take place outside at the Charleston Maritime Center on the edge of the Charleston Harbor. Attendees will have the opportunity to satisfy their retail itch at an onsite Pop Up Shop featuring over 20 local jewelry, hat, handbag, and vintage vendors. InventivEnvironments, Snyder Rentals, and Electric Friends will set the mood for the evening. Hair and makeup services will be provided by Salon Capelli for 30 of Charleston's premiere models which include a number of TOUT talents. Beer and wine is included.
