First reporting, updates at the bottom: On March 25th-27th, the 3rd annual Bike! Bike! Southeast! will be hosted right here in good old Charleston, South Carolina.

The conference is unique in that its workshops are proposed and facilitated by attendees. Topics generally fall in two broad categories: developing technical bike maintenance skills and collectively managing an organization. Previous topics have included creating safe respectful spaces, successful and unsuccessful fund raising, organizing a race, basic and advanced bicycle maintenance, creating partnerships, wheel building, welding tall bikes, and applying for grants.

Think BarCamp, but for bikers.

Online registration is currently down, but FYI there is no upfront cost to register. It is recommended to toss a $20 donation the organizer's way at check-in to cover some costs associated with printed materials, workshops venues, and meals.

For additional information and to find where you'll need to register when the link is fixed, check out the official Bike! Bike! Southeast! 2011 page. In the meantime, you can check out the updates and the list of those planning to attending on the Bike! Bike! Southeast! Facebook page.

Update March 24: Bike! Bike! Southeast! is almost here, so that means it's time for you to start planning your bike-filled weekend.
