The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been getting a lot of theatrical play lately around town, from the group over at Plan B and now the the Coastal Carolina Theater Department is taking on the picture show. 

Starting tonight the CCU's take on Richard O'Brien's offbeat classic at the 79th Avenue Theatre in CCU’s Myrtle Beach Education Center. This take on the play is titled "The Rocky Horror Show" and ia a new multimedia adaptation of the original. 

Directed by Robin Edwards-Russell, associate professor of theatre, takes advantage of the intimate space of the 79th Avenue Theatre to promote 372 audience participation, one of the signature traditions of the “Rocky Horror” experience.

The dates are Oct. 11 to 14, and 17 to 20 at 7:30 p.m. There will be 11 p.m. performances on Oct. 13 and 19. Tickets are as follows: general admission, $15; CCU and Horry Georgetown Technical College students, $5 (one ticket per valid ID); CCU and HGTC faculty/staff, $10 (two per valid ID); alumni and senior citizens (ages 65 and older), $10.
