The Charleston Parks Conservancy’s beloved Teddy Bear Picnic is back this spring with entertainment, giveaways and prizes, activities for children and the teddy bear parade.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy live music and entertainment. Children can participate in such activities as a dunking booth, face painting, a bubble factory and craft stations for making crowns, decorating cookies and planting seeds.

The Conservancy also will have information available about its park projects, events, Educate You classes and volunteer opportunities.

“Even though this is just the third year for the Teddy Bear Picnic, it’s quickly becoming a family favorite in Charleston,” says Neves Richards, volunteer director. “This event is perfectly in line with the Conservancy’s mission of connecting people to their parks and helping them create lasting memories. And what better way to do that than with a Teddy Bear Picnic.”

This year’s picnic is 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22nd, in Hampton Park. All activities are free and open to the public.
