Benefitting the local Planned Parenthood Health Center, the 3rd annual Re-Nude art show/sale will be held on Wednesday, March 21st, from 6 - 10:30 p.m. at Redux Contemporary Art Center.

The title of the show is “Re-Nude”, reflecting the theme, featuring figurative works, which will be created by local artists. For each piece of work sold, there will be a 50:50 split- half going to the artist and the other half benefitting Planned Parenthood. Some talented artists already committed are: Jill Hooper, Tim Hussey, Hirona Matsuda, Liz Vaughan, Dorothy Netherland, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Sarah Yoder, Sally King Benedict, Kate Long Stevenson, Kirsten Moran, Janie Askew, Dee Rhodes, Lynn Hamontree, Johnny Pundt, among many others.

The goal of Re-Nude is to raise funds for the local health center, as well as to educate the public about the services the center provides and offer them a statistical overview of the health issues that plague our local community. These include topics such as: teen pregnancy, comprehensive sex education, the high rate of STDs, HIV, women’s reproductive health issues, public policy and current state legislation. We will also highlight how one can become an advocate for Planned Parenthood in the local community.

The talented, festive and fun band, The Local Honey’s, will provide musical entertainment. Beer, wine and bubbly will be served. Cash charge of $20 at the door/ $15 pre-sale to cover costs of the event. Don’t forget your checkbooks and credit cards if you want to purchase some art!

Additional viewing and sale days will be held at Redux from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
