The weekend run-down

Image by Flickr user 1SockImage by 20090731-weekend.jpg There is no reason behind this photo other than that it caught my attention too.

This weekend is jam packed with things to do, so here is a run-down of some of the highlights as picked by TheDigitel staff.

This Friday night is the return of the RiverDogs to The Joseph P. Riley Stadium, they'll be hosting the Lexington Legends until Monday. To start your night off right, the Charleston Beer Exchange is having a special growler sale featuring Smuttynose Brewering's Belgian Dubbel style brown ale. If you're looking for some late night comedy, stop by Theater 99 and check out Rory Scovel. The midnight mystery bike ride begins at midnight in downtown Charleston, or you could shag the night away at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier.

Saturday is playing host an eclectic mix of events. You can check out designer Dalia Dalili's Mock Couture Trunk Show at Suite Sole or head to a Michael Jackson tribute show at O'Malley's Bar and Grille. For the sports fans out there, the RiverDogs will play the Legends once again. At Saturday's game you'll also be able to meet South Carolina native and former Major League Baseball Player Lou Brissie. If none of that strikes your fancy there is always the 12 hour artist 'lock in' exhibit presented by Fr3sh.

Sunday is looking a bit lazy compared to Friday and Saturday, so swing by Oak Steakhouse and try their brand new brunch menu.

Enjoy your weekend!
