There is a ton of cool stuff going on this weekend and we wanted to let you in on all the dirty details.
The Charleston City Paper has a solid weekend run-down, but we've got some extra events that they didn't catch/plug.
- There are three shows that are worth checking out tonight. At The Windjammer, Tonic will be taking the stage after a five year hiatus. There is also a concert at Boone Hall Plantation featuring The Oak Ridge Boys and One Flew South. Let's not forget that this weekend is Jerry Garcia's birthday weekend, and The Pour House is having New Riders of the Purple Sage grace the stage for the ultimate memorial.
- Saturday there are two ongoing sales happening in the downtown area. First if the Gibbes Museum store sidewalk sale where you'll find some great deals on books, posters, toys and gifts. For all those ladies ready to take the plunge, there is trunk show at Maddison Row's bridal boutique on Spring Street.
- Sunday is looking pretty low key this week. For any of you out there who are passionate about Mardi Gras parties, the 'Krewe of Charleston' group is holding a meeting to plan Mardi Gras festivities at 5 p.m. at the Cajun Kitchen in Signature Kitchens and Baths.
That about sums this weekend up, have fun on this tax-free weekend.
