All the nasty rain has cleared out of the region and it's shaping up to be a mighty fine weekend here in Charleston.

Nice, unseasonably warm weather will be the perfect setting for some wonderful outdoor events happening in the next few days. On Saturday afternoon, head out to Center Street and eat your heart out at The Taste of Folly. This year's events include the Chili Cookoff, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Server-Lympics, date auction, dunk tank, silent auction, food vendors, jump castle, live music and pet adoptions.

On Sunday, Boone Hall Plantation is the place to be for the Lowcountry Oyster Festival. Oysters, beer, music and fun. You can't beat that with a stick.

If you want to get historical on your Friday afternoon, celebrate the first ever South Carolina Flag Day. Fort Sumter is waiving admission fees all day long in honor of the 150th anniversary of the state flag.

Don’t miss the eighth annual Charleston Home + Design Show this weekend January 28-30 at the Gaillard Auditorium. Thousands of the newest and finest custom home products will be showcased by many of Charleston's most recognized and respected local companies.

For musical treat, get your tickets to Eye Level Art's second installment of Songwriters in the Round featuring Ed Roland from Collective Soul, Caleb Slade formally of The Fray, Mark Bryan from Hootie and the Blowfish, and Patrick Davis.

The Charleston Jazz Orchestra opens its 2011 season with 'Jazz on the Screen' on Saturday, January 29th at 7 p.m.

Hold onto your hats folks, Professional Bull Riders are posting up at the North Charleston Coliseum on January 28th and 29th. Man vs. Bull to the max.
