Ah, the weekend, a time of wonder and cheer. Let us help make it more wonderful and cheerier by pointing you in the direction of the best events that Charleston has to offer over the next couple of days.

First off, if you're feeling a pinch on your wallet and are looking for free fun, check out this list that the City Paper produced. The City Paper has an insanely thorough weekend round-up of their own that covers the majority of this weekend's events.

Some things to note for the weekend are the 5th Annual Green and Lean 5K, the 2nd Annual Olde North Charleston Village Street Sale out in Park Circle, the Shipyard Shindig at the historic Hobcaw Shipyard and the Charleston Jazz Orchestra concert 'Conductor’s Choice' at the Charleston Music Hall.

There is some good baseball to be enjoyed as well. The Charleston RiverDogs continue their four-game homestand at The Joe and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks take on the Florida Gators for the SEC Championship.

There's comedy at Theatre 99 with the Assorted Rogues on both Friday and Saturday night if you want to get a little buzz on while watching some seriously funny people.

There's plenty more where all of this came from, just check out our Events Calendar for a complete list of this weekend's events.
