Ride along with an S.C. trucker, virtually

If you've ever wanted to be behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler (and maybe see a bit of Columbia), now's your chance. A trucker from Sumter has installed Webcasting software and hardware in his cab. You can follow his show on Justin TV.

You can also chat with other viewers, call Joel, and see where Joel is, thanks to GPS tracking.

If you're really curious, you can read an article on Joel, but we suspect you'd learn a lot more by just watching the Webcast.

We applaud the 35-year-old, 6-foot-4, 275-pound Joel for his ingenuity in beating the boredom of the road.

Here's some highlights we saw in an hour of watching:

Passing a repo truck that had repo'd another tractor trailer.
Joel discussing his confusion in the mid-1990s between Yahoo! and Yoo-Hoo.
Someone calling Joel and farting into the phone. To be clear, we don't encourage pranks, but we do like them.
Watching Joel pick up a load of rocks and hearing him joke about "getting his rocks off." Good times.

At any rate, go watch it.
