Don't forget about Charleston's waterparks
Image by Flickr user rappensuncle Hop in and cool off.
Update June 16: Given the bone-fry we've been through it seemed like a good time to replug this piece from last year.
First reporting: With all the heat we've had, there's few better times to go visit one of Charleston's three waterparks than now. Here's what, where, and how much:
- North Charleston (map)
- 843-572-7275 or 843-795-4386
- General admission: $19Â (Yes, the most expensive, but also the most elaborate.
- Mount Pleasant (map)
- 843-884-0832 or 843-795-4386
- General admission: $10
- Splash Zone
- James Island (map)
- 843-795-7275 or 843-795-4386
- General admission: $7
There's lots more information on rates and specifics from the recreation department, and The Post and Courier has some tiny review bits on the waterparks.
Oh, and don't forget the public pool in downtown Charleston.
