Update February 24:

The rumors were true, a 4-D theater experience is headed Charleston's way.

The Charleston City Paper reports that a 52-seat theater will settle into the space between the South Carolina Aquarium the Fort Sumter Visitors Center. A 15-minute condensed version of Planet Earth: Shallow Seas is expected to be the first film shown...and felt, and smelled.

First reporting:

The Post and Courier reports that we should look out for a four-dimensional theater attraction next year at the South Carolina Aquarium.

In addition to a theater experience with 3-D glasses, 4-D adds unique physical effects to the show. For example, you might feel the spray of water on your skin or feel ocean breezes.

The Post and Courier offers a brief mention of the potential attraction.
