Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros coming to Charleston (update: post-show review)

Trippy goodness.

Update July 15: Looks like Tuesday's show was a lot of fun.

The Charleston City Paper has a shorter post which seems to do a better job capturing the zaniness of the whole affair (read it here), while Charleston Scene has a more straight-played write-up of the show (read that here.)

First reporting: Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros are bringing their alternative, folk rock, psychedelic tunes to the Music Farm on Tuesday, July 13.

If the video up top doesn't sell you on their quirky style then know that the band's backstory of "Edward Sharpe" is a Christ-like figure and the band is putting together a 12-part series to tell the story (part one is up top, part two is here.)

Doors open at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of.
