Update September 9th: Horry County school officials have responded to the parents' request by eliminating the stop.

By creating 2 new stops, the schools are able to service the 4 block area without being near the strip club. WBTW has a couple more details. Read it here. For the back story, see below.

First Report: A school bus stop in Atlantic Beach is literally in the parking lot behind a gentleman's club.  One could rationalize that the club isn't in operation during school hours, but really?  One mom expressed concern by sharing she had to tell her child what "topless" meant. 

According to this WPDE report, the response from the Horry County School's Transportation Office is that there isn't a compelling reason to make a change.  Still, parents are concerned and feel it's inappropriate.

So you tell us.  How would you feel about your child getting on and off the bus in the immediate vicinity of a strip club?  No big deal or totally inappropriate?
