Update:  Coastal Carolina University has been included, yet again, on the list of "America’s 100 Best College Buys.”

CCU President David A. DeCenzo said:

“It reaffirms the fact that Coastal Carolina University students receive a top quality education at a reasonable cost — that, by any measure, is value-added.”

For more information on what qualifies a college for this distinction, read this WBTW report.  Congratulations again, Coastal!

First report, 9/15/11:  Coastal Carolina University is ranked among the top 15 regional public universities in the South in the "Great Schools, Great Prices" category in the 2012 edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. Also this week, CCU was designated as a "Military-Friendly School" by G.I. Jobs Magazine for the second year in a row

The “Great Schools, Great Price” is based on academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid. You can see more details about this honor by clicking here.

The “Military-Friendly School” honor places CCU in the top 20 percent of all schools nationwide as a university committed to educating military veterans. CCU will be included in a listing in the 2011 Guide to Military Friendly Schools, which publishes this month, as well as an online listing at MilitaryFriendlySchools.com.

Add these two to CCU's inclusion in "America's Best Colleges," compiled by Forbes Magazine and the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, and that makes three national distinctions this year.
